Italian Estates: Radice Clear Billiard with Faux Bamboo (G) (2022) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-37573
In the 1960s and 70s, Luigi Radice worked at two of the most acclaimed Italian marques, Castello and Caminetto,. After cementing himself as one of Italy's best pipe makers, he began to craft pipes with his sons under the family name. This hefty Billiard by Radice consolidates most of its weight in its immense bowl, which provides ample space for the natural Clear finish to showcase the fetching vertical grain that runs along its flanks. The shank is also made out of briar, but it masquerades as bamboo, creating a sturdy but stylized partner for the acrylic tapered stem that completes the three-part divide between bowl, shank, and stem.--Zach Podl
