Italian Estates: Ser Jacopo Smooth Bent Billiard (L1) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-37541
Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Unfortunately, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. This bent Billiard is one of Ser Jacapo's more conservative designs, featuring a tapered bowl, slightly bent shank, and sinuous acrylic stem that one expects from the standard Billiard shape. However, Ser Jacopo's choice to keep the form simple highlights the exquisite grain pattern; swirling whorls of birdseye descend down the shank and then rise to the rim of the bowl while grand strands of cross grain decorate the flanks, all dressed in a warm, honey-colored smooth finish.
