Founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello's commitment to handcrafting high-quality pipes helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's personal shaping approach to pipes helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. This bent Dublin from Castello is part of their Great Line, which is reserved for their largest pipes; however, the towering bowl possesses a slightly elliptical bowl with trim flanks, giving the pipe a hefty, yet supple, in-hand feel. The thick, insulating walls of the bowl highlight gorgeous straight grain, which rises to the tactile plateau on the rim, offering visual and textural contrast. The warm, auburn stain on the stummel is accompanied by a glistening silver band and a jet-black acrylic stem, resulting in a timeless look.
