Fashioned in 1998 by Castello, this vintage bent Dublin is a rather fetching bit of Italian craftsmanship. Framed by four stout, muscular panels, the tall bowl here rises in a steady flare form its firm, plump heel to its broad, oval-shaped rim. Said bowl stands at the fore of a demurely curved shank-and-stem arrangement, one that encourages a comfortable smoking posture and keeps the composition looking sleek in profile. A warm auburn finish dresses the stummel and highlights some stunning flame grain along the flanks of the bowl, while an accent of kimberlite adorns the junction and adds a touch of complementary color to the overall form.
