Italian Estates: Ser Jacopo Smooth Bent Egg with Silver (L1) (Maxima) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-37427
Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Unfortunately, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. Many of Ser Jacopo's designs display the Italian penchant for bowl-centric shapes, but this bent Egg strikes a compositional balance; however, this is not due to a scaling down the bowl, rather, the design features an especially elongated shank that slowly bends upwards from a low-set transition. Additionally, this pipe is dressed in a chestnut stain that highlights some fetching vertical grain around the bowl.
