Italian Estates: Benton Baron Rusticated Bent Bulldog Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-37613
A fairly compact rendition of the bent Bulldog, this piece from Benton presents with an appreciably light weight which should allow for easy clenching. It also provides a lovely clenching posture, thanks to the sharply lifted shank paired to a smartly downturned saddle stem of jet-black vulcanite. The diamond shape of the shank keeps things looking firm, and a ridge wraps the high waist of the bowl to similar effect. A dynamic forward cant at the bowl lends it an active stance, while the stummel's craggy rustication offers a wealth of texture in hand with contrasting smooth briar at the rim adding further intrigue.
