The tall, robust bowl sits atop a sweeping heel, the lines fluid and elegant as they continue through the curling, thick shank. Never one to shy away from handsome accents, Tonino has elevated this piece with a band of purpleheart wood at the shank end, the fetching tones contrasting the smooth, auburn stain covering the stummel. This Rook piece shows off stunning, tight-knit wisps of flame grain on the flanks, with whorls of birdseye dotting the rim and aft.
