Mario Pascucci has over 30 years of pipe making experience, gaining much of it at the Pesaro marque Mastro de Paja. Now, Pascucci crafts quintessential Italian shapes under his own name. This Acorn from Mario Pascucci possesses an atypical feature for the shape, it is a stable Sitter. However, the pipe retains its sharp, spur-like heel that defines the shape, opting to flatten the fore to let it sit at an upright angle. Furthermore, the bowl features an asymmetrical rim that curves inward to the chamber, making it easy to pack your favorite blend. The stummel is dressed in a honey-hued stain that highlights whorls of birdseye, streaks of flame grain, and undulating growth rings in organic harmony. Out back, the bent shank-and-stem arrangement terminates at an acrylic stem, which is fashioned from partially transparent acrylic that mimics the look of an old school amber stem.
