In the 1960s and 70s, Luigi Radice worked at two of the most acclaimed Italian marques, Castello and Caminetto. After cementing himself as one of Italy's best pipe makers, he began to craft pipes with his sons under the family name. This Rhodesian by Radice is dressed in a partial rustication, with the rugged, red-hued Rind finish dressing the lower bowl, while the broad rim wears a blonde smooth finish for a palpable contrast. The squat bowl transitions into a low-set shank, which actually flares outward to the face, showcasing a walnut-colored wooden band in the process. Additionally, the jet-black acrylic stem demurely curves downward, creating a comfortable smoking posture as one clutches the palm-filling bowl.
