Italian Estates: Ser Jacopo Smooth Paneled Bent Dublin (L1) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-38721

Founded in 1982 by Giancarlo Guidi, Ser Jacopo has built a reputation on crafting high-quality briars that are renowned for their robust proportions and playful shaping cues. The Italian atelier's style has since defined the Pesaro style of pipe making, each of their pipes imbued with a sense of character and reflecting the whimsical creativity that went into crafting them. Though Guidi passed away in 2012, his legacy lives on not only in the pipes he crafted, or the company he founded, but in the language of design that he helped to pioneer. The majority of the paneled bent Dublin designs that we receive from Ser Jacopo are either "Maxima" stamped pieces or are very nearly stamped with that designation by virtue of their incredible size. This is decidedly the opposite of that style, coming in at less than four and a half inches long and offering a fantastically light weight that lends it phenomenal jaw-hanging potential. The bowl is rather tall, and flares up to a domed rim, its walls covered by an octet of firm-lined panels that lend the bowl a firmness in hand belied by this pipes lightness. A square shank lifts out of a tight transition to meet a tapering stem that continues the shank shape, its black vulcanite complementing the walnut stain of the stummel to offer a classic aesthetic.
