Italian Estates: Savinelli Autograph Partially Sandblasted Bent Dublin (3P) Tobacco Pipe

Savinelli's Autograph is the Italian marque's limited-production, handmade series, utilizing specially aged extra-extra plateau briar and being crafted by only three of the brand's most experienced carvers. From start to finish, the process of crafting a single one of these pipes is handled by a single one of these veteran craftsmen, the series providing them with design freedom and allowing them to express their personal creativity. Rather sleek in profile, this bent Dublin showcases a gracefully arced stretch of shank and stem paired to a hearty bowl. Up front, the bowl flares reservedly from a pronounced heel to a broad, forward-slanting rim, its more than two inches of height holding a capacious chamber surrounded by thick, insulating walls. A warm, auburn-hued sandblast dresses most of the stummel here, revealing rippling growth rings that are contrasted by flame grain beneath a smooth finish at the fore of the bowl.
