Founded in 1978 by Giorgio Imperatori, Il Ceppo pipes are made in Pesaro, Italy, one of the centers of Italian pipe making. Today, Franco and Nadia Rossi craft Il Ceppo pipes, which are known for being quality smokers with classic Italian flair. This Acorn by Il Ceppo possesses a towering bowl that is poised atop a sharp, protruding heel, which manifests a quintessentially Italian, bowl-centric composition. Out back, the shank quickly tapers from a broad transition, ascending to a striking silver accent on the shank end. The stem base also features a trim silver band, elegantly contrasting with the jet-black hues of the acrylic. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a warm chestnut stain, completing this piece's traditional color palette.
