Italian Estates: Castello Natural Vergin Billiard (KK) Tobacco Pipe

Castello's Natural Vergin finish was first introduced in 1960 and has been a striking success ever since. While the natural hues of the briar are quite handsome on their own, virgin finishes also allow a nice patina to develop from the wicking away of tobacco oils. Particularly fitting to heartier shapes, it's a perfect match for Castello's stubby Billiard variations, such as this piece, which places a hearty bowl atop a jutting heel at the fore of a girthy round shank and tapered acrylic stem. The rugged rustication of the Natural Vergin finish creates a wealth of engaging texture around the stummel.
