Italian Estates: Castello Old Antiquari Horn (G) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-39496

From the mind of Italian artisan Carlo Scotti, Castello was created in 1947 with the goal of offering handmade pipes that exude quality in both form and function. Working together with Luigi Radice and Peppino Ascorti, the three would serve as key innovators in defining Italian neoclassical pipe design. This Horn by Castello displays many characteristics of Italian neoclassicism, adding some more dramatic bends to the shape's typically gentle curves. The bowl features a strong forward cant, with its walls flaring from a pronounced heel. Even with the added angularity, the bowl transitions seamlessly into the shank, which then tapers into an acrylic stem. The stummel is dressed in Castello's Old Antiquari sandblast, which is imbued with a handsome hickory stain.
