Italian Estates: Castello Collection Bent Egg with Silver (KK) (1993) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-40012
Founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello's commitment to handcrafting high-quality pipes helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's personal shaping approach to pipes helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. An exquisitely distinctive shape, this bent Egg by Castello features a tall bowl poised atop a pronounced, sharp heel, from which the bowl's walls rise to a wide waist, before gently tapering to the rim. Out back, the broad transition gradually trims down to a shining silver mount that joins to a tapered stem fashioned from jet-black acrylic. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in Castello's eponymous smooth finish, highlighting sweeping cross grain and whorls of birdseye in a vibrant chestnut stain.
