Italian Estates: Caminetto Rusticated Bent Rhodesian (08.39) (AR) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-40749
In the late 1960s, two Castello pipe makers, Giuseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice, left to found their own workshop: Caminetto. Their skilled craftsmanship grew Caminetto into one of the most popular marques of the 1970s and beyond. This bent Rhodesian by Caminetto features a stocky bowl that flares from its firm, narrow heel to its broad, beadline-wrapped waist before tapering to its domed rim. Said bowl is paired to an upturned oval shank and a smartly curved tapered stem, the latter of which promotes a comfortable smoking posture and lends a touch of gesture to the shape's silhouette. A crisp rustication dresses the stummel and furnishes the composition with a wealth of tactile detail, save for the rim, which is left smooth for contrast.
