Italian Estates: Moretti Partially Rusticated Dublin (𝛿𝛿𝛿) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-41358
Founded by Igino Moretti, the Moretti marque is based in Recanati, Italy, a small town with a pipe-making history stretching as far back as 1850. Since its establishment in 1968, the Moretti workshop has produced an extensive portfolio of pipes both traditional and extravagant, and they especially have an affinity for gargantuan proportions. This Dublin from Moretti is a handsome example of the Italian marque's style, placing a hearty, Fan-like bowl at the fore of the composition. The bowl's walls are especially thick, flaring broadly from the sweeping heel toward the arcing rim. Out back, a compact shank lifts from the bowl and joins to a gracefully downturned saddle stem, the pair offering a comfortable smoking posture. A light, earthy rustication lends the stummel a wealth of rugged texture for the hand to appreciate, with the rim diplaying pepperings of birdseye beneath a smooth finish.
