Italian Estates: Radice Rind Dublin Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-41440
In the 1960s and 70s, Luigi Radice worked at two of the most acclaimed Italian marques, Castello and Caminetto. After cementing himself as one of Italy's best pipe makers, he began to craft pipes with his sons under the family name. This Dublin is a rather willowy rendition of the shape from Radice, presenting a lengthy shank that emerges from a tight transition and gently flares to the exposed shank end, where the demurely downturned stem imbues the profile with a dash of elegance. Out front, the bowl flares from a pronounced heel to a thick rim, its traditional form feeling intimately familiar in one's hand. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in Radice's rugged Rind rustication, while the rim and shank end are left smooth for contrast.
