Italian Estates: Ser Jacopo Smooth Bent Dublin with Silver (L1) (B) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-41197

Forgoing traditional Italian neoclassic proportions, this bent Dublin from Ser Jacopo pairs a rounded, Dublin bowl on the end of an equally robust shank and transition, adding substance to the profile as well as making for a heartier feel in hand. Slimming down the form, though, is the use of a trim sterling silver rim, while the rim is playfully shaped to resemble the rim cap of a traditional Calabash. Also of note is that the Italian workshop favors darker stains over pure, natural finishes, making this a less often seen piece — what an excellent choice of finish it was too, as there's gorgeous, underlying growth rings all around the bowl that otherwise would've been hidden by a deeper hue.
