Italian Estates: Ser Jacopo Picta Van Gogh Rusticated Belge with Silver (R1) (C) (18) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-009-21040

Founded by Giancarlo Guidi in 1982, Ser Jacopo boasts a rich history of nearly 40 years, enjoying a well-deserved reputation of being on the cutting edge of the Pesaro style of pipe making. This Belge represents Ser Jacopo's Picta line, and its shaping was inspired by Vincent van Gogh's 1885 realist paining Head of a Young Man. The Belge is a much-beloved shape that was prominent in old Clay pipes of the 16th and 17th centuries. It's characterized here by a forward-ebbing, tulip-shaped bowl with a pronounced, inflated rim demarcated by a wrapping, dramatic beadline. Out back, the lengthy shank and stem stretch out, lending a visual balance. Dressed in an earthy rustication except for the aforementioned smooth rim, it's accented by a bright ring of silver for a tasteful dash of flash.
