Italian Estates: Ser Jacopo Picta Van Gogh Spongia Rusticated Barrel with Silver (13) (R2) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-41407
A rusticated Barrel from Ser Jacopo, this Picta series Van Gogh pipe features a long, sterling silver accent dividing the stummel from the elegantly tapered mouthpiece, which maintains minimal width until reaching the lip button, where it widens for comfort in the jaw. Ser Jacopo founder Giancarlo Guido was an avid connoisseur of fine art, and the Picta line celebrates pipes depicted in famous paintings, with this particular example based on a Vincent van Gogh piece simply called The Smoker. The rim is smooth, along with parallel bands of smooth briar just above and below the single beadline, and furthermore, it sits sturdily upright. This piece is wearing Ser Jacopo's Spongia rusticated finish and will darken with patina as it ages and is enjoyed.
