Italian Estates: Castello 'Castello' Zulu (KKKK) (2011) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-41519

From the mind of Italian artisan Carlo Scotti, Castello was founded in 1947 with the goal of offering handmade pipes that exude quality in both form and function. Working together with Luigi Radice and Peppino Ascorti, the three would serve as key innovators in defining Italian neoclassical pipe design. Replete with sinuous line work, this Zulu from Castello is a subtly curvaceous take on the classic shape. The bowl stands tall with a forward-urging posture, its walls flaring from a firm heel toward a flat rim. A muscular shank makes a sloping transition from the bowl and gradually tapers to a gently downturned stem. Castello's eponymous finish dresses the stummel in a warm, auburn stain highlighting handsome grain throughout.
