Italian Estates: Moretti Smooth Volcano (𝛿𝛿𝛿) (3) (2019) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-41941

Founded by Igino Moretti, the Moretti marque is based in Recanati, Italy, a small town with a pipe-making history stretching as far back as 1850. Since its establishment in 1968, the Moretti workshop has produced an extensive portfolio of pipes both traditional and extravagant, and they especially have an affinity for gargantuan proportions. Moretti's Volcano renditions are particularly hearty, as seen here, featuring a broad, sweeping heel brimming with rugged plateau. From there, the bowl's smooth walls reach high and taper toward the chamfered rim, housing a capacious chamber for lengthy smoking sessions. Out back is a compact shank paired to a bent saddle stem of jet-black acrylic. The stummel is dressed in a warm, auburn-hued stain that reveals sweeping flame grain around the bowl.
