Italian Estates: Ardor Urano Bent Egg with Silver (DR) (2004) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-42433
The Ardor marque was established in 1974, its name being a portmanteau of its founders, Angelo Rovera and his son Dorelio Rovera. The family's tradition of pipe making extends further, to 1911, when Angelo's father Francesco founded the Sociedade Rovera pipe company alongside his brothers. Fashionable and functional, this bent Egg from Ardor features a tall, full-bodied bowl, formed by curved walls traveling from the round heel toward the flat rim. A compact, upturned shank transitions from the bowl, fashioned with a silver military mount that accepts a smartly bent tapered stem, the arrangement offering a comfortable jaw-hanging posture. Contrasting the stem's colorful acrylic, the stummel wears a dark, crisp sandblast that reveals rippling growth rings wrapping around the bowl.
