Italian Estates: Castello Old Sea Rock Bent Dublin (89) (KKKK) (1970s-1982) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-42393

From the mind of Italian artisan Carlo Scotti, Castello was founded in 1947 to offer handmade pipes that exude quality in both form and function. Working together with Luigi Radice and Peppino Ascorti, the three would serve as key innovators in defining Italian neoclassical pipe design. Dated to between the 1970s and 1982, this "89" bent Dublin by Castello embodies the dramatic flair of Italian neoclassical sensibilities, producing a statuesque interpretation of the Dublin combined with certain traits of a Poker. Sitting on a flat heel, the bowl's thick walls flare high towards the rim, providing ample room to grip. Protruding from right above the heel is an abbreviated shank with an acrylic military mount, one paired to an elongated, lithely bent stem. Castello's rugged Old Sea Rock rustication dresses the stummel and showcases bountiful texture beneath its handsome stain.
