Italian Estates: Jacono Pawn Acorn (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-42424

Tonino Jacono, along with his father-in-law and brother-in-law, created the Jacono company in 1981. While each member had their own roles, they were all united by the common goal of creating high-quality pipes at a fair price. A soft, curvaceous design, this Acorn from Jacono contours naturally to the hand, the bowl formed by supple walls flaring from the sweeping heel toward the plump rim. Out back, the transition leaves plenty of room for a thumb to rest, which then gives way to a lifted shank that pairs to a gracefully downturned saddle stem, the arrangement creating a gestural profile. Jacono pipes are graded according to a chess-themed naming convention, with this "Pawn" piece dressed in a dark, crisp sandblast that reveals rippling growth rings traveling up the bowl.
