Italian Estates: Castello Sea Rock Briar Pot (KK) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-42454

From the mind of Italian artisan Carlo Scotti, Castello was founded in 1947 with the goal of offering handmade pipes that exude quality in both form and funcition. Working together with Luigi Radice and Peppino Ascorti, the three would serve as key innovators in defining Italian neoclassical pipe design. This Pot by Castello is a particularly muscular rendition of the shape. The stout bowl's protruding heel hints at Castello's famous "55" shape, while the thick, insulating walls create a hearty in-hand feel. Out back, the rounded shank fosters physical balance, but its short length keeps compositional focus on the bowl. A tapered acrylic stem provides a dash of sleekness, its jet-black hues pairing elegantly with the walnut stain on the rusticated stummel.
