Italian Estates: Ser Jacopo Smooth Paneled Bent Dublin (L1) (Maxima) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-42438

Known for pioneering the Pesaro style of pipe making, Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982. Since then, the Italian marque has made a name for itself with its fantastical, imaginative interpretations of classic pipe conventions. Replete with palm-filling substance, this bent Dublin from Ser Jacopo is an exceptionally bowl-centric design. The bowl itself features an almost Fan-like figure, with its thick, insulating walls flaring broadly from the sweeping heel toward the arcing, plateau-kissed rim. Additionally, the bowl is framed by an octet of crisp facets, granting this piece a sturdy, architectural character as they emerge from the heel and rise to the rim. A muscular oval shank lifts out of the transition from the bowl and joins to a gently downturned tapered stem, both of which lend further visual weight to the bowl. Dressed in a smooth chestnut finish, the stummel's expansive surface displays a wealth of lively vertical grain all throughout.
