Italian Estates: Don Carlos Rusticated Horn with Silver Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-42528

Along with Giancarlo Guidi, Bruto Sordini left Mastro de Paja in 1981 to form Ser Jacopo with Guidi the following year. Sordini eventually left the workshop, though, to fashion his own pipes under the Don Carlos name, debuting the line in 1992. This Horn is a unique take on the modern classic shape, with much of the form's iconic consistent flare showcased through the stummel. The stem, however, is a sleek saddle of demurely curved black acrylic, and it meets the stummel at a domed fitment of silver reminiscent of a military mount. The shank itself, when starting at the end, flares into the transition, and the bowl carries the momentum of this flare all the way through its walls and up to the gently wavering rim. Dressed in a light stain and craggy rustication, this pipe offers ample texture to appreciate while smoking.
