Italian Estates: Savinelli Antica Sandblasted (125) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-42491
Savinelli's "125" straight Pot is a long, lean rendition, the robust bowl garnering much of the visual attention by being paired with a comparatively trimmer shank and stem arrangement. It forgoes the paneled shank seen on the Italian marque's "512 KS" Pot design, opting instead for a round shank and increasing the bowl's height — affording it a deeper chamber. The "125" is also a lengthier, more muscular counterpart to the firm's "109," making such a design perfect for fans of the broad-bowled shape that prefer more bowl to wrap their fingers around.
Italian for "ancient," the Antica line from Savinelli is a limited series of pipes made from new-old-stock stummels originally crafted decades ago and representing some of the marque's oldest designs. The line comprises 10 shapes, all either previously discontinued for a number of years or underrepresented across the marque's current production, and they pay tribute to the legacy of Savinelli's historic shape chart. Through the Antica series, these underrated designs have been carefully curated and revitalized for present-day pipe smokers and Savinelli aficionados. They're brought to light in a traditional, walnut-stained sandblast with jet-black, vulcanite stems for a vintage aesthetic that honors these shapes' history and Savinelli's legacy — presented now on the modern stage.
