Italian Estates: Ser Jacopo Sandblasted Cutty (S2) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-42654

Ser Jacopo's Pesaro style has produced some wild shapes, with profiles that showcase extreme curvature, exaggeratedly dramatic neoclassical proportions, and whatever witchery goes into making their Insanus line. That being said, this style can be taken in a more subtle direction, such as with this Cutty, which features the exaggerated proportions that the Italian workshop is wont to carve, though kept balanced throughout the composition, creating something that appears smaller than it is. In truth, this pipe is over six inches long, certainly not the longest Cutty we've ever seen, though it presents with a dynamically forward canting, Stack-like bowl of over two inches in height: an almost equally capacious chamber held within its walls. Despite its reach, this piece is kept quite sleek thanks to the consistent taper of its shank and stem, the combination slowly diminishing as they ebb forth from the wide transition. Beneath the bowl is the shape's characteristic foot, here enabling the pipe to be rested, as it supports the weight of the piece and allows for rather stable sitting. Dressing the briar here is an earthy sandblast that covers the stummel with texture and lends good traction in hand without being too craggy.
