Italian Estates: L'Anatra Rusticated Cherrywood Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-42801

Hailing from Pesaro, Italy, Massimo Palazzi and Andrea Pascucci founded L'Anatra in 1998. The two have since taken the Pesaro style's iconic playfulness in their own distinct direction, with their whimsical approach encapsulated by the signature duck head symbol marking each of their stems. Seen here is a hearty interpretation of the Cherrywood from L'Anatra, complete with a striking presentation of thoroughly Italian character. With a dynamic forward cant, the bowl sits firmly upon its broad, flat heel, from which thick walls travel straight to the domed rim, the figure housing a capacious chamber within. Out back, a muscular oval shank curls sharply upward to meet a smartly bent saddle stem, the arrangement poised for comfortable smoking. An inky rustication envelops the stummel, composed of fine, wire-brushed striations, with the rim's light, smooth finish pairing with the accent at the shank's base to offer a handsome contrast.
