Italian Estates: Amorelli Smooth Bent Dublin (****) Tobacco Pipe

A palm-filling piece, this bent Dublin from Amorelli sees a tall, robust bowl posed at the fore, its figure formed by thick, insulating walls flaring from the plump heel toward a crisp, high-set ridgeline, with the subsequent domed taper to the rim adding a Calabash-esque character to the design. Lifting out of the transition from the bowl is a muscular shank that meets an arcing, dual-toned saddle stem, its warm complexion contrasted by a jet-black streak traveling from the saddle to the bit. The stummel wears a light auburn stain that highlights windswept vertical grain across the left flank.
