Known for their large shapes and bold design cues, Ser Jacopo delivers on the Pesaro styling that makes their pieces so unique. Here, they present a paneled straight Dublin stamped "Maxima," making it quite the hearty rendition. While the traditional Dublin is known for its soft curves and consistent, gentle flare, Ser Jacopo has opted for a more angular, muscular design that carries throughout the stummel, while the bowl still retains that smooth flare. A vivid ridge of plateau runs across the rim of the bowl, accentuating its asymmetrical stature, while balanced in profile by the straight shank-and-stem combination, the saddle stem terminating in a fine bit. Dressed in a lovely sandblast, providing plenty of texture and drawing out the growth rings of the stummel, this piece is a bit of Italian playfulness that's truly stimulating.
