Italian Estates: Savinelli Hercules Rusticated (606 EX) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-42995
While many designs on Savinelli's shape chart cater more toward traditional English and French shaping cues when compared to the bold, bowl-centric proportions of other Italian makers, the "606 KS" bent Billiard leans more heavily into that Italian neoclassic style, increased even further by this one's EX size designation. The bowl is full and robust, dominating the visual weight to leave the shank and stem in more slender, supporting roles. Hearty of chamber, it poses a proud comforting disposition as one of Savinelli's largest bent Billiard renditions, offering a substantial feel in hand, and the lithe bend and angled shank make for an effortless clench when smoking hands free.
Named after the legendary hero of Greek and Roman myth, the Hercules series is a line dedicated to Savinelli's massive Extraordinaire-sized briars, offering bold, muscular designs that are imbued with remarkably capacious chambers for those who prefer lengthy smoking sessions. Hercules was renowned for his immense strength and excellent endurance, overcoming seemingly impossible obstacles during his famous Twelve Labors and other various journeys. It's certainly a fitting name for this substantial Savinelli series and looks quite handsome here in a reserved, walnut-stained rustication paired to a jet-black vulcanite mouthpiece.
