Italian Estates: Davide Iafisco Smooth Dublin (2016) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-43083

Having studied under Teddy Knudsen and Claudio Cavicchi, it's no wonder how Davide Iafisco earned the reputation he has now. Considered an incredibly skillful pipe artisan, Iafisco pulls inspiration from various schools of design when crafting his pieces, which are often unique and organic renditions of shape-chart standards. This bent Dublin from Davide Iafisco combines elements of structure with fluidity to create a truly unique piece that would diversify any collection. Measuring under five inches in length and housing a compact tobacco chamber, this is an ideal piece for taking your short smokes on the go. Up front, the walls of the squat bowl rise from a lifted heel as they flare toward a domed rim, informed by a single ridgeline wrapping the flanks. The line work continues through the sides of the shaft where dual ridgelines extend from the transition to the button, adding a sleekness to the aft. The inky vulcanite mouthpiece pairs well to the walnut-stained smooth stummel, highlighting impressive flame grain across the bowl's flanks and dense patches of birdseye on the rim and underside.
