This bent Billiard from Lord is a rather robust pipe, one that, in true Italian neoclassical fashion, focuses the majority of its visual weight onto the bowl. In comparison, the shank and stem are rather slim, the shank itself pushing out of a wide transition to meet a black acrylic mount that pairs this pipe to a sleek stem of demurely downturned, matching acrylic. Up front, the bowl stands on a rounded heel and grows tall walls that make a subdued taper to the rim, their thickness and height naturally drawing the eye to the fore. Dressed in a craggy rustication and deep, dark stain, the stummel offers plenty of texture to appreciate and a timeless palette.
