Quite a stout take on the bent Brandy, this piece is a great example of the Radice aesthetic — marrying muscular proportions with a playful sense of line and curve. As is typical for the shape, the bowl tapers from its wide heel to its taut rim, and as it does, it takes on a forward cant that imbues the totality of the shape with an active stance in profile. Additionally, the bowl houses a capacious chamber within its towering frame, ensuring plenty of long, leisurely smoking sessions, which the smartly bent shank-and-stem arrangement is posed to aid. Dressing this piece is Radice's Rubino smooth finish, which highlights striking grain throughout the stummel.
