Italian Estates: Castello Old Antiquari Bent Dublin (K) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-43396
With a layered history dating back to 1947, Castello is known as one of the first Italian brands to separate from the conventional English and French shape charts to help create the Italian neoclassical style seen today. Translating to "castle" in English, founder Carlo Scotti chose the name Castello to be recognized in several European languages. The marque eventually combined with Radice and Ascorti and was one of the first brands to provide high-quality handmade pipes to the general public. Leading shaping in Italy, Castello is now considered one of the most iconic pipe manufacturers in the world.
This bent Dublin from Castello is a lightweight option with slim proportions, perfect for travel. Coming in at less than five inches in length, this compact pipe also possesses a slim shank-and-stem arrangement and a compressed bowl. From a firm heel, the walls of the bowl flare as they form a lenticular rim that looks into the tobacco chamber. Out back, the oval shank begins the aft's bend as it meets an inky stem made of acrylic, with the combination forming a consistent taper to the button. Dressed in the iconic Old Antiquari sandblast, this pipe showcases a mahogany stain along the stummel.
