In the late 1960s, two Castello pipe makers, Guiseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice, left to found their own workshop, Caminetto. Their skilled craftsmanship grew Caminetto into one of the most popular marques of the 1970s and beyond. This bold Oom Paul features the traditional tall transition and deep bend with the cylindrical, yet boldly muscular bowl housing a deep chamber with thick, insulating walls. The nearly vertical rise of shank and stem tops off the shape's iconic profile, with the downturn of the mouthpiece allowing for comfortable clenching. Dressed in a vibrant mahogany stain, the stummel showcases thick tendrils of vertical grain throughout.
