Italian Estates: Castello Collection Great Line Fiammata Bent Billiard (K) (2007) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-43724

Founded by Carlo Scotti in 1947, Castello is recognized by some enthusiasts for being one of the first Italian brands to separate from the conventional English and French shaping standards. All of their pipes are individually shaped by a small team of artisans who focus on quality in both form and function. Belonging to the Great Line from Castello, this bent Billiard is a striking piece, boasting a tobacco chamber over two inches deep, perfect for those who enjoy longer sessions. The bowl is cylindrical in profile, with walls that rise from a flat heel and gently flare outward to a rim, crowned with plateau, adding a tactile detail to its otherwise smooth finish. The shank is reminiscent of a Bulldog, featuring four crisp panels that reach into the vulcanite stem out back. The stummel wears a rich chestnut stain, which accentuates flowing tendrils of flame grain around the bowl, so striking that it has earned the Fiammata designation — reserved only for pipes that exhibit exceptional flame and straight grain.
