Italian Estates: Castello Collection Great Line Bent Billiard (KK) (1989) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-43743
Founded by Carlo Scotti in 1947, Castello is recognized by some enthusiasts for being one of the first Italian brands to separate from the conventional English and French shaping standards. All of their pipes are individually shaped by a small team of artisans who focus on quality in both form and function. A striking showcase of the Italian marque's neoclassic style, this Billiard from Castello is a part of their Great Line series, one of the workshop's largest designations. The bowl reaches over two inches tall, towering over the aft and possessing a tobacco chamber that is ideal for longer smoking sessions. The bowl is almost Stack-like, formed by straight walls that reach from a flat heel to a craggy, plateau-crowned rim. Dressing the stummel is a chestnut smooth finish that highlights tight tendrils of flame grain all around the bowl.
