This Apple from Claudio Cavicchi possesses a plump, full-bodied bowl that sits at the fore of a sturdy shank-and-stem arrangement. Said bowl contours nicely to the hand, formed by walls that reach from a soft heel to a flat rim. The wide transition gives way to a sturdy shank that pairs to a black acrylic saddle stem, the arrangement keeping the shape balanced. A trim accent band of pale acrylic sits at the junction and adds a nice contrast to the warm color palette. Dressed in one of Cavicchi's craggy rustications and graded two C's out of five, the stummel provides a wealth of texture to appreciate.
