Italian artisan Claudio Cavicchi boasts over 50 years of pipe making experience and is known for his exceptional ability to bring out the very best from a block of briar. This handsome Billiard is but one example of his expertise. This strapping piece displays muscular proportions and, in true neoclassic Italian fashion, a very bowl-centric build. The bowl's thick, sturdy walls house a deep chamber, which the eye is drawn to after following the subtle inward slope of the rim. Swirling around the rim is an impressive display of birdseye, which draws the eye in even more. The rest of the bowl is striated with long tendrils of flame grain, and more patches of birdseye can be found along the top and bottom of the short, muscular shank. The stummel, dressed in a smooth finish and warm, earthy stain, has been paired to a short, broad, acrylic stem.
