Italian Estates: Castello Sea Rock Briar Bent Egg (NS) (293) (1950s-1960s) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-44055

Founded by Carlo Scotti in 1947, Castello is recognized by some enthusiasts for being one of the first Italian brands to separate from the conventional English and French shaping standards. All of their pipes are individually shaped by a small team of artisans who focus on quality in both form and function. Dated between 1950 and 1960, this "293" bent Egg from Castello is dressed in their iconic Sea Rock rustication, giving the pipe a rugged surface and a weathered appearance. The tall, plump bowl transitions into a well-bent shank that flares outwards as it rises, creating an asymmetric shank face that gives this piece an organic presence. Jutting out from said face is a jet-black offset saddle stem, offering a comfortable position to hang from the jaw.
