Italian Estates: Luigi Viprati La Pipa Smooth Bent Dublin Sitter with Silver (Four Clover) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-44480

Luigi Viprati is an experienced Italian craftsman who's been carving fine pipes by hand since 1972, developing a firm grasp on the Italian neoclassical style of pipe making. As the years went on, Viprati received inspiration from Alberto Paronelli, and his hobby turned into a passion in 1984: marking the year when he began stamping his pipes with his name. Viprati focuses on creating high-quality pieces with every pipe that he crafts, and his artistic leanings reveal themselves in pipes such as this bent Dublin Sitter. A hearty piece, this pipe features a flat, broad heel that supports thick, robust walls as they flare out to a flat, forward-canting rim. The transition is wide, and it gives way to a tapering shank capped with a stylish silver band whose end features a neat collar. This silver acts as the junction to a sleek stem of tapering black vulcanite, complete with a domed base that adds a bit of plumpness to the composition, while its demurely curved bit makes for a comfortable smoking posture. Dressed in a warm, rich stain, the stummel showcases flame grain wrapping around the bowl, while the rim is awash with dense birdseye.
