Though Castello no longer stamps their pipes with shape numbers, this bent Bulldog reflects the Italian workshop's "58" design. The diamond shank-and-stem combination display a Prince-like elegance that borders on the Hawkbill's characteristic arch, but more subdued in this piece. On the end, then, flares a Bulldog bowl, marked by demarcating beadlines just above the transition. Such a dramatic flare lends prominence to the firm heel, and it's all dressed in a deep, chestnut stain and earning the marque's Collection grade.
