Italian Estates: Caminetto Smooth Windshield Billiard (05.41) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 004-006-44369

In 1969, Guiseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice left the famous Castello workshop to form their own company, Caminetto. Their passion and skill quickly propelled Caminetto to become one of Italy's most renowned pipe brands by the late 1970s. Roberto Ascorti, Guiseppe's son, grew up in the world of pipes and was eager to carry on the tradition. He later founded the Ascorti workshop, with his father joining him after Caminetto closed. The windshield design dates back to the early days of Dunhill when Alfred Dunhill created a line of pipes for automobile drivers. It's a functional design that features a raised wall at the fore of the bowl. This particular rendition from Caminetto sees that bowl paired to a shank-and-stem combination that tapers and softly downturns towards the bit. The stummel is dressed in a ruby stain, its reddish hues pairing well with the palette of the cumberland stem out back.
