Italian Estates: Ser Jacopo Rusticated Horn (R1) (Maxima Maxima) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 004-006-44392
The Horn is not a shape that's well-represented within Ser Jacopo's portfolio, the profile being quite rare and seldom seen from the Italian workshop. This piece strikes the gestural, trumpeting profile associated with the shape, with a seamless transition, a forward-canted bowl, and a curling shank-and-stem arrangement. The stummel wears a craggy, rugged rustication and deep auburn stain, offering a wealth of texture for the fingers to appreciate across the double Maxima-stamped stummel — the more than eight inches of length here lending the composition plenty of surface area to appreciate said texture. The tapered stem of jet-black acrylic is paired to the stummel at a subtly stylized junction, a smooth band of briar at the shank end mirroring a similar band at the stem's base, both separated by a black acrylic ring that denotes the start of the mouthpiece.
