Italian Estates: The Tinder Box Verona Smooth Oom Paul (3080) Tobacco Pipe

Deeply bent, as an Oom Paul should be, this "3080" from the Tinder Box Verona would make for an excellent jaw-hanger thanks to its nearly vertical shank and sharply curved stem. The underside of the stummel here is a tight, near parabola, speaking to the dramatic angle of the shank, and, at the fore, we see a bit of rearward curve that informs the bowl's Brandy-like taper. Dressing this pipe is a warm stain that reveals some handsome grain and fosters a classic, timeless aesthetic.
